This is in a junk shop on Main Street in Ventura, CA; alas I didn’t catch the store’s name. And yes, that’s a dinosaur there on the right.

This the hood ornament, mascot, or radiator cap (call it what you like) on a 1931 Daimler Double Six 50 Royal Limousine at the Nethercutt Museum. The limousine was built by British Daimler in Coventry, England, and was part of the Royal fleet at Buckingham Palace.
And seriously, I can’t look at it without hearing the Bangles singing “Walk Like an Egyptian”.

This is the hood ornament from a 1937 Pierce-Arrow, a Model 1702 Enclosed-Drive Limousine, presently in the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, California.

According to Conan the Barbarian, what is best in life is “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.” I thought this fellow had the air of rising triumphant over his slain adversaries. In fact, they are sleeping, and I have to think Conan here is keeping watch.
