I have no idea what the individual is after; but what I love best about the letter is that it’s addressed to “undisclosed-recipients;:”. I’m also glad to know that there are still a few young hansoms left in the world.

I suspect if you were to confirm the friendship you’d be among those undisclosed recipients that “Gerald” is waiting to share a special opportunity with… one involving your getting a sizable %-cut of funds he needs help moving out of his country (Nigeria?)–once you help cover the inevitable processing/transfer fees, of course.
But that’s just my guess. Maybe I’m too jaded & cynical? Maybe there really are a few true hansoms left in the world who befriend an untold number of undisclosed recipients on the Internet?
