So, I gather there was some kind of football game going on today. Gosh, is it football season already?

The Super Bowl (which I watched last night, very entertaining) and, I suppose, certain games leading up to it, are considered “post season”, whatever that is. None of it makes sense to me. Perhaps if I watched football more than once a year I would have something more intelligent to say. However, watching Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison make an interception on the Arizona goal line and run it clear across the field for a touchdown was nothing short of sensational. And the last quarter had some of the finest football playing I have ever seen. (Bruce Springsteen I could have done without. At least his warddrobe didn’t malfunction…)

I know that, actually. But, in all honesty, I had no idea that yesterday was Superbowl Sunday until Jane mentioned it on the way to church. Didn’t watch the game, either.
