I’ve only seen it in place on one blog (Pandagon), but their comments have an additional field requiring one to copy a number into a box to prove that one is human (presumably, a comments-spam bot can’t do it). You might try giving that a whirl, if it’s a feasible fix.
That’d be cool; it’d take some kind of MT plugin to do. The plugin most people seem to use is MT-blacklist, which isn’t yet available for MT 3.0. Anyway, I’ll look into it; thanks for the tip!
